Hinged doors can be mounted with either right or left hinges. You will need to purchase hinges separately if you choose hinged doors.

Can I replace old IKEA doors with yours?

Yes, in most cases it works excellently. This also applies to older kitchen doors, as long as the frame size matches PAX. If you are looking for a custom-built feel, you can complement with filler pieces to achieve a perfectly tailored whole. We recommend that you also buy new hinges for your door for the best function and fit.

Do you have sliding doors for PAX?

We currently do not offer sliding doors customized for PAX. However, you can order sliding doors that are mounted in the ceiling, not in the PAX frame itself.

Sliding doors are a smart choice when you want to save floor space or have narrow areas. Keep in mind that tracks require a little extra space in the ceiling and depth, which we are happy to help you plan. Soft-closing features can be integrated into the tracks for quiet and smooth opening/closing. Sliding doors also provide a more modern appearance and can be used as classic room dividers. If you are instead considering traditional hinged doors, we are happy to help you compare the options to arrive at the solution that is best for your space and style.

The doors can either be made taller than the frame to reach all the way up to the ceiling, or adapted to lower ceiling heights if the room requires it. Custom wardrobe doors can be made to fit heights up to 300 cm for IKEA's PAX wardrobes.

The doors need a little extra space in both ceiling height and depth for the tracks, which is important to plan for. For sliding doors, a frame of 75 cm can be installed with a total width of 150 cm when two frames are placed next to each other.

If you choose hinged doors, you get a different type of function and flexibility, where hinges can be an excellent option if you have more floor space in front of your PAX.
